Hi, we’re Jess and Caroline, long-time friends with backgrounds in Psychology and Design, Mums to 5 kids between us, and co-creators of the Grow Journals.

Our mission is to make it easy for everyone to bring positive psychology practices into their daily lives, to support their mental health and wellbeing in an easy, simple, feel-good way.

And we know how full life can be, so they are easy to use and fit into life no matter your schedule.

FAQS

Practicing gratitude regularly has been shown to offer many benefits, including:

*Resilience, because they learn there are always things to appreciate even when they’re experiencing unwanted things or setbacks

*Better mental healthand morepositive thinking, as they focus on what they have, not what they lack

*Morecloseness and connectionwith important people in their lives, and more empathy and kindness

*Better sleep, especially if they use their Journal before bed

*Enhanced wellbeingbecause it brings feelings of appreciation and contentment

This can vary based on their age, personality, and individual preferences, but generally daily use will cultivate a habit of gratitude and they’ll reap the benefits of practicing gratitude regularly.

For young kids, you can try a few times a week and gradually increase over time.

Older kids will likely begin to use it regularly on their own as they notice how good it makes them feel, and they experience the benefits.

This also varies based on age and individual preferences.

Some kids or teens might only spend a few minutes a day, while others enjoy spending more time reflecting and writing longer entries, or drawing and colouring in more detail.

The key is to encourage them to use their Journal in a way that feels comfortable and enjoyable for them, so it becomes a habit they look forward to.
