What is the recommended age range for the GROW Journals?

For the Kids Edition it's 6 - 12 years.

There is space for answers to be written or drawn, and drawing answers is great for kids who are still learning to write.

How long does the GROW Journal last?

The Journal has 120 double pages, and if used daily, the journal lasts approximately 4 months.

How long do Grow Journals take to fill out?

Between 5-10 minutes, but they can spend longer colouring in, or drawing, if they enjoy it.

Do I have to sit with my child when they use their Grow Journal?

That's totally up to you. Some parents find it gives some really special moments of connection, but you don't have to sit with them.

However if your child is still learning to read and write, they might need you to read them the questions.

Do Grow Journals have to be used daily?

No, definitely not. They will still receive amazing benefits even if they don't use it daily. Although the benefits do amplify with more use, so it's great if they use it often. It can be used as part of a routine, or just whenever they like.

Some kids do just one double page, and others prefer doing multiple pages at a time, and either way is great.

If they finish their Journal and want more, could they do another one?

Absolutely! Grow Journals are designed in a way that means doing a second, or more, Journals will have great benefits.

How can I encourage them to use it if they are hesitant?

- You can offer to do it with them, it can be a really special time for connection (and kids love colouring in with you!).

- Let them know that it's up to them how much they fill out, and when.

- Let them know how easy they are to use! They don't take long at all, and are really simple to fill out.

- Keep it simple when explaining the Journals - you might say something like "your Journal is something really simple that helps you learn how amazing you are, and how to feel good."

-Try and keep it light, and not pressure them. The Journals give them a mood boost, so if they give them a try they're likely to want to keep going on their own.
